In just one week, the 16th UN-IGF Digital Summit 2021 will start in Katowice, Poland. The Silesian University of Technology encourages you to register for the event.
The 16th UN-IGF 2021 Digital Summit will be held from 6 to 10 December at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The motto of this year's edition of the conference is "Internet United", which stands for free, indivisible, open Internet. It is here that global themes and best practices related to the digital space will be discussed.
The Summit will be attended by the Secretary General of the United Nations - António Guterres, Vice-President of the European Commission - Margrethe Vestager, dozens of ministers of digitisation from all over the world, business representatives from various continents, NGO activists and academics. It is at this event that the most important decisions concerning the future of the Internet will be made.
The organisers have prepared over 300 different activities, including workshops, open discussion forums, group sessions and networking sessions. There will also be high-level sessions with representatives of countries and international organisations, as well as a parliamentary session.
