Technology and art in the IPK Lab project! Registration is underway
A unique event will be held in October for students, science clubs, and lecturers for whom the intersection of technology, art and new media is a valuable complement to education. This is the New Media Week IPK Lab, which will take place from the 30th of September to 4th of October 2026 in Katowice.
How to turn an artistic idea into a project using new technologies? How can artists benefit from the potential of AI, VR, real-time graphics, or computer games? And finally – how to combine an artistic experiment with practical technological and business knowledge? The answers to these questions can be found at the IPK Lab.
IPK Lab is the titular educational program of New Media Week, created in cooperation with the Institute of Creative Industries – an institution subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The program was created as a space for competence development, knowledge, and experience exchange at the interface of ART+TECH+BIZ. It combines artistic, technological, and business environments, creating conditions for both gaining practical knowledge and establishing relationships, and developing one’s own projects.
IPK Lab is addressed to artists, designers, students, digital creators, specialists of new technologies and representatives of the creative sector. In addition to the talks on the directions of development of new media art, the program includes mainly practical activities: workshops, expert consultations, presentations, film screenings, and meetings with artists.
A detailed program, event times and information on the registration process are available on the New Media Week website.
