Teachers-to-Teachers Academy
As part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 on October 7th, 2024, the Teachers-to-Teachers Academy will be held at the Silesian University of Technology. The thematic path of the academy will be climate and environment.
Cooperation between primary and secondary school teachers and academic teachers is a topic that is gaining importance in the context of improving the quality of education and better preparing students to continue their education at the higher level.
Academic teachers can introduce new teaching methods and innovative approaches to teaching that can be adapted in schools. Primary and secondary school teachers, on the other hand, are well aware of the needs of their students and the challenges they face, which can be a valuable source of information for academics.
Workshops prepared within the Teachers-to-Teachers Academy will allow teachers to get to know the academic environment even more closely, and cooperation between school teachers and academic teachers can bring numerous benefits that will positively affect the development of education at different levels. The approach based on openness, understanding and willingness to work together for young people is crucial.

- 10.30–10.50 Introductory lecture - Dr Eng. Anna Waligóra: "Competencies of the future - How to educate the iGen generation".
- 10.50–11.30 Discussion panel "Project-oriented education – implementation of PBL projects at the Silesian University of Technology"
- 11.30–12.00 Coffee break
- 12.15–15.00 WORKSHOPS
