SUT-INNOVATIVE DAY

Stimulation of innovation and dissemination of scientific achievements of students and doctoral students of the Silesian University of Technology and the idea of commercialization of scientific research results - these are the main objectives of the SUT-INNOVATIVE DAY competition.

The event took place at the Centre for Incubation and Technology Transfer of the Silesian University of Technology.

It was organized on April 26th, 2024, as part of the World Intellectual Property Day celebrations. During the event, the competition participants presented their projects to the competition jury, workshops on intellectual property protection issues were conducted by Magdalena Filipek-Marzec, the CITT Patent Attorney. The culmination of SUT-innovative DAY was the award of the competition and the award ceremony in two categories, i.e. students and PhD students. The prizes in the competition were in-kind prizes and the opportunity to consult the Patent Attorney and the CITT Innovation Broker.

The main goal of the SUT-INNOVATIVE DAY competition is to stimulate innovation among students and doctoral students of the Silesian University of Technology, who are the creators of innovative technical solutions created at our university and have the potential to apply for a patent. The aim of the event is also to popularize scientific achievements of students and doctoral students and the idea of commercialization of scientific research results, as well as patent protection of solutions that are created at the Silesian University of Technology.

The competition is part of the DEEP INVENTHEI project funded by the European Union under the HEI Initiative program. The project manager on behalf of the Silesian University of Technology is Prof. Beata Orlińska.
