SusDay2025 Sustainable Development Day
We invite you to SusDay2025 - Sustainable Development Day with the Silesian University of Technology and ORLEN. During the event lectures, presentations and competitions have been planned.
Sustainable Development Day is a great opportunity to broaden your horizons, get inspired, and talk to experts about the future and green solutions. The event is addressed to students and scientists. Admission to the event is free of charge.
SusDay2025 will take place on October 29th, 2025, at the Student Creativity Centre at 3, Akademicka Street in Gliwice.

8:30 – 9:00 Opening of the event + inspiration to start
(Welcome and presentation: Sustainable Development Goal - Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Anna Chrobok)
9:00 – 9:30 Sustainable development in practice (Screening of the film “Sustainable Development in ORLEN”)
9:30 – 9:45 ECO-QUIZ: What do you know about sustainable development? (interactive quiz with prizes)
9:45 – 11:00 Green start: Preparation of PBL projects (project team workshops)
11:00 – 11:30 Pitch & present: PBL project presentations (short presentations by the teams)
11:45 ECO Awards: Announcement of the results of the PBL competition
12:00 – 12:30 Green added value: How sustainable petrochemicals and recycling build ORLEN’s brand and future (lecture for students, Speaker: Bartosz Samardakiewicz)
12:30 – 13:45 Creative Competition: Second life of waste (making items rom recycled materials)
13:45 – 14:15 ECO-Exhibition: Post-competition exhibition of projects
14:30 Awards: Announcement of the results of the “Second Life of Waste” competition
14:30 – 14:45 Closing of the event and thanks to the participants.
