Support from Experts at the Silesian University of Technology in Preparing Applications for International Projects – Amendment of the Pro-Quality Programme

As the deadlines for the submitting applications for international projects in several competitions are approaching, we would like to remind you that on 12 June, the Rector's Order No. 96/2025 amended the pro-quality programme for aimed at strengthening the ability to obtain international projects under the Excellence Initiative - Research University programme.

The amendment introduces the possibility of engaging an expert from the Silesian University of Technology to support the project team in the preparing  a project proposal. An appropriate salary supplement is provided for the expert.

According to the Ordinance, for a given project proposal, the expert may be an employee or a doctoral student of the Silesian University of Technology who, at the date of submission of the project proposal, had within the last three years:

  • was a member of the evaluation team employed by the funding institution excluding roles of reviewer or external opinion-giver) or
  • was a project coordinator or a project team leader at the Silesian University of Technology, for a project implemented in a competition with similar rules comparable to those of the current competition, within the same international programme (details in the Ordinance).

An expert cannot be a member of the team in the project for which this grant is being applied.
Project Management Center (CZP) maintains a database of such experts  and provides it to project proposal authors. Researchers who meet the criteria and are willing to support project teams are kindly asked to inform the CZP.

The programme has also increased the pro-quality grant for certain types of projects.

We wish our researchers much success in obtaining projects.
