Students of the Silesian University of Technology are winners in the IEEE Poland Section TEMS Chapter competition
Maja Foryciarz and Adam Tomaszewski from the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology were awarded in the first edition of the National Competition for the best diploma thesis IEEE Poland Section TEMS Chapter. The promoter of both works was Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Marcisz, Prof. SUT from the Department of Air Transport.
The subject matter of the Competition covered a wide range of issues in the area of Technology and Engineering Management, combining technological, engineering, organizational and socio-economic perspectives, including, among others: Innovation and technology management, program and project management, digital transformation of the organization, Industry 4.0 / 5.0, management data analytics, technology commercialization, social aspects of technology, sustainability and future technologies
Two students from the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering received awards in the competition:
- Maja Foryciarz received the third Prize for the engineering project "Light measuring platform for monitoring atmospheric parameters and air quality using an unmanned aircraft".

Supervisor: Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Marcisz, Prof. of the Silesian University of Technology.
- Adam Tomaszewski received a distinction for his work "Navigation aid integrated with flight parameters recorder".

As emphasized by Prof. Marcisz, the success of the graduates is not only a reason to be proud, but also an important confirmation of the quality of teaching and scientific work carried out in the unit.
