We are pleased to inform that “Urbanmodel” Student Science Club and Dr Eng. Małgorzata Adamiec-Organiściok – the supervisor of Student Science Club of Engineering and Systems Biology at the Silesian University of Technology were nominated for the project “Metropolis Game” in the nationwide competition for student science clubs – “StRuNa.”
Distinctions for our representatives are all the more valuable as 30 representatives from all Polish universities compete for awards in each category. It is the most appreciated competition for student science clubs in Poland. An average of 33 teams apply for one prize.
Students from the Faculty of Architecture who operate in the nominated Urbanmodel Student Science Club have created a unique game. “The Metropolis Game” aims to popularize knowledge about the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis and help to understand its multifaceted complexity. This is a game for everyone, not just architects. It is a game that promotes public transport, supports more sustainable development of the city, and the quizzes contained in it refer to Silesian tradition and even language.
The game was created under the supervision of Dr Hab.Eng. Arch. Tomasz Bradecki Prof. SUT Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology.
It is worth adding that among the nominees for the awards in the StRuNa competition in the category of scientific supervisor, Dr Eng. Małgorzata Adamiec-Organiściok – who is supporting Student Science Club of Engineering and Systems Biology at the Silesian University of Technology was also nominated.
The final of the competition with the participation of the nominees will take place on 22 November 2025 in Warsaw.
