Student of the Silesian University of Technology received an award for the best architectural visualisation

Visualisation of the "3 Stawy" (TRANSL. „3 ponds”) Sports Hall by a student of the Silesian University of Technology, Jacek Czudak, was among the winning projects of the Money Shot 2021 competition, organised by a well-known international architecture portal Archi Hacks.

The aim of the competition was to select the best architectural visualisations. Those that not only show the building itself but also create an interesting composition or tell a story related to the project. The competition was open to anyone, from students to professional architectural studios.

"I submitted my "3 Stawy Sports Hall" project in the competition because it perfectly shows my capabilities and my workshop. In the whole design process I could count on the help of Anna Kossak, PhD, Arch.” says Jacek Czudak.

The designed building consists of three parts: a restaurant and a welcome area containing, among others, an information desk. The third part consists of a sports hall, gym and changing rooms. The hall also has a large green terrace.

”I believe that my design blends well with the surrounding greenery or the nearby ponds. Several key factors were responsible for the proper match of the building with the surroundings. One of them is the unusual form of the building based on wheels" adds the student.

Another advantage was the use of natural materials on the façade, which allowed the building to gently blend in with the greenery. "Large glazings are a great advantage of the hall and the accompanying restaurant.  They allow us to feel almost like in a park meadow while we drink coffee or exercise in the gym" says Jacek Czudak.

The jury consisting of: Bennett Oh (architect), Tommy Minh Nguyen (designer) and Leo Liu (product developer) appreciated, above all, the good integration of the building into its surroundings, as well as the presentation of the visuals in such a way that the viewer can feel the atmosphere of the place.

Jacek Czudak is a student of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology. He eagerly takes part in architectural competitions, in which he has achieved numerous successes both in Poland and abroad. He spends his free time on his hobbys: parametric design, motorization, fencing and travelling.
