- I must admit that the competition was strong. We fought at equal level, which was proved by the fact that I lost the gold medal by only 1 cm to the competitor, who at this year's European Youth Championships in Tallinn took the 9th place in the all-round competition. In fact, getting to the final in three jumps was quite a challenge - says Julia Frąckowiak.

The athletes who took part in the competition are members of the National Team of PZLA, they are finalists and medallists of senior events and they have represented our country at international competitions more than once.

- The result that I achieved in the competition is my current life record: 6.16 m. This is a result at the level of the first sports class, I lack 4 cm to the master class - adds the student.

- I just wanted to complete my second semester of physical education by going to a competition. I searched for possibilities and I came across the Polish Academic Championships in Athletics. Julia is currently studying Biotechnology at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology. - This is a future-oriented course, so I am doing my best. I want to gain experience through systematic studies or additional holiday practices and in the future find a job in the profession - says the student.

- So far my sports career is going in the right direction, if there are no serious injuries, I am going to go higher and higher and jump further and further. I would definitely like to combine sport with education as long as possible. As far as this season is concerned, all championship competitions are already behind me. Possibly, I will take part in some meetings or memorials, if the form is good for me. Now, in the era of pandemics, I train only at my home in Tychy, under the watchful eye of my coach Bogdan Przybycin, but I represent the Silesian University of Technology at the Polish Academic Championships every year," concludes Julia Frąckowiak.
