Stock Exchange School at the Silesian University of Technology

Registration for participation in Stock Exchange School courses organized by the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology has started.

In the second half of 2018, the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology signed an agreement with the Warsaw Stock Exchange Foundation, under which an educational program called "Stock Exchange School" is conducted. The aim of the Stock Exchange School is general education in the field of trading in securities and other financial instruments, carried out by universities and colleges in the form of courses organized in cooperation with the WSE (Warsaw Stock Exchange) Foundation.

As part of the Stock Exchange School, you can take part in two courses:
- Basics of investing on the stock exchange - basic level (cost PLN 550),
- Stock exchange for intermediate investors - intermediate level (cost PLN 600).

There is a 10% discount when registering for two courses.
If at least 15 people register, the courses will be held online. However, if at least 35 people are registered, these will be full-time courses in Zabrze at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology.

Upcoming dates:
- February 24-25, 2024 - Basics of investing in the stock exchange market - April 20-21, 2024 - Basics of investing in the stock market
- June 15-16, 2024 - Stock Exchange for intermediate investors

Each course includes 5 lectures (14 hours), conducted by university lecturers, practitioners and experts in the field of financial instruments and markets. Classes are conducted on weekends. Participants receive professional information materials, prepared by the Warsaw Stock Exchange Foundation and a course completion certificate.

The "Basics of Investing" course covers the key and most practical issues for beginner stock investors. The principles of operation of the stock exchange and the course of the trading session will be discussed in detail. Economic factors affecting the stock exchange, both domestic and foreign, will also be presented. During the lectures, information will be presented on the principles of investment, selection and evaluation of companies, the use of financial information and the principles of securities portfolio management.

The "STOCK EXCHANGE FOR INTERMEDIATE INVESTORS " course is intended for people with basic knowledge of the stock market and for practicing investors. It helps to systematize and deepen knowledge about derivatives - options and futures contracts available on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as well as turbo certificates. The course will also cover issues such as fundamental analysis (including case studies of companies from selected industries), technical analysis, as well as advanced issues regarding the functioning of the stock exchange and the impact of the economic environment on the WSE (Warsaw Stock Exchange).
