Spring Workshops and Spring Traditions in Poland
What are the Polish customs and traditional rituals associated with the arrival of spring? This was the topic explored by participants of the integration meeting “Spring Workshops and Spring Traditions in Poland” organized by Welcome Point in collaboration with the Foreign Languages Center.
The meeting took place on March 17, 2026, and aimed to collectively bid farewell to winter and welcome spring by learning about Polish folk traditions. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the custom of drowning Marzanna, including its history and symbolism. An important part of the event was the creative workshop, during which everyone could create their own Marzanna.
The event fostered the integration of the international academic community – participants spent time in a friendly atmosphere, getting to know one another and sharing experiences. The meeting was open to everyone interested, regardless of skill level or prior knowledge, and provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about Polish culture and to celebrate the arrival of spring together.
Such events are an essential part of Welcome Point’s initiatives to promote the integration of the academic community.
