Soon the first stage of the 16th National German Language Olympiad for Students of Technical Universities
Do you know German at B1 + level? Do you have knowledge of the culture and customs of German-speaking countries? Do you want to test your skills against other students?
Take part in the 16th National German Language Olympiad for Students of Technical Universities organized by the Foreign Languages Centre of the Silesian University of Technology and compete against students from all over Poland!
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the first stage of the 16th edition of the Olympiad will be carried out remotely on May 21 at 4.00 p.m. via the Remote Education Platform of the Foreign Languages Center and the ZOOM videoconference platform. As part of it, students will compete at their home universities - on the same day and at the same time. The course of the competition will be supervised by the university coordinators and the Olympiad's Main Committee. During the competition, students will have the opportunity to test their knowledge of general German at B1 + level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages recommended by the Council of Europe, and technical vocabulary, as well as knowledge of the culture and customs of German-speaking countries.
The event is aimed at students of technical fields of first, second and third degree studies at technical universities obtaining the title of engineer. Students of the Silesian University of Technology who are interested in participating in the Olympiad may apply by sending an e-mail with their surname, first name, faculty, major, type of studies, semester and identity card number to gabriela.szewiola@polsl.pl or barbara.dimitruk@polsl.pl.
