Six medals in the category of technical universities were won by representatives of the Silesian University of Technology in the Polish Academic Championships, which took place in Poznań at the POSiR Golęcin stadium.
Over 1,400 students from almost 100 universities from all over Poland took part in AMP (Polish Academic Championships). Among them was a 14-person team from our University, coached by the Deputy Director for Didactics at the Sports Centre of the Silesian University of Technology, Dr Krzysztof Szydło. His team members managed to stand on the podium six times.
The Medallists of the Silesian University of Technology
- Eryk Baranek - 3rd place in the UT category with a result of 50.69 meters in the men's discus throw,
- Zuzanna Ziemba - 3rd place in the category UT with a result of 63.43 seconds in the women's 400 m race,
- Adam Paździerz - 3rd place in the category UT with a result of 49.50 seconds in the men's 400 m race,
- Krzysztof Ludwiczak - 2nd place in the category UT with a result of 14.22 m in the men's triple jump and third place in the category. UT with a result of 6.96 m in the men's long jump,
- 4x100 m relay team: Cyprian Brilla, Krzysztof Ludwiczak, Adam Paździerz and Kacper Ucherek - 3rd place in the UT category with a result of 43.63 s.
In addition, our University took 8th place in the UT women's classification and 9th place in the UT men's classification.
Also taking part in AMP: Klaudia Łukaszczyk, Zuzanna Morgała, Malwina Lazar, Justyna Warzecha, Filip Hałas, Jakub Michalski, Piotr Kawczyński and Bartłomiej Ciałoń.
