Silesian University of Technology with the award at the EXPOBUD Fair
Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering from Silesian University of Technology presented their achievements at the 19th International Gliwice Civil Engineering Fair EXPOBUD, which took place PreZero Arena in Gliwice on 14-15 September. The stand of our University was awarded during the Fair.
The September edition of the EXPOBUD Fair in Gliwice is a presentation of dozens of exhibitors from the construction, installation, furniture, and renewable energy sectors, as well as an offer of ornamental plants and cars for companies and private individuals.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by: Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Zbigniew Paszenda, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Investment, Katarzyna Kuczyńska-Budka, President of Gliwice, Dr Hab. Eng. Arch. Tomasz Bradecki, Prof. SUT, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Barbara Klemczak, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr Hab. Eng. Arch. Beata Kucharczyk-Brus, Prof. SUT Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Organization at the Faculty of Architecture, Dr Hab. Eng. Marian Łupieżowiec, Prof. SUT, Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Organization at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Dr Eng. Arch. Jan Kubec and Dr Eng. Rafał Żuchowski.
Silesian University of Technology won the award in the category “Creative presentation of products at the stand”. At the stand of our University there were presented diploma projects of students in the field of architecture and interior architecture, a mock-up of the ancient temple complex in Delphi prepared by students of the first year of architecture, hydroponic cultivation of plants together with a research station, which was prepared by employees of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and samples of innovative building materials (foam concrete, road asphalt) developed by researchers from the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
The award ceremony was attended by Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Staniek, Prof. SUT, Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment, Dr Hab. Eng. Arch. Tomasz Bradecki, Prof. SUT Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and organizers and numerous distinguished guests.
