Silesian University of Technology with many awards during INTARG® 2026
Grand Prix, Diamond Award, Polish Chamber of Patent Attorneys Award, six gold medals and three silver – these are the awards that scientists of the Silesian University of Technology won in the 19th edition of the 19th International Invention and Innovation Show INTARG®2026, which took place on the 2nd -3rd of June at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The honorary chairman of the International Jury of INTARG®2026 was the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Marek Pawełczyk.
During this year’s edition, the Silesian University of Technology presented nine inventions. All of them were awarded, and the project of scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - Dr Eng. Marek Szindler, Dr Eng. Magdalena Szindler and Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Lukaszkowicz, Prof. SUT - received the title of GRAND PRIX INTARG® 2026. The jury emphasised that it was awarded unanimously.
- These awards are a huge success for the Silesian University of Technology. I congratulate the scientists and Authors and encourage everyone to follow their example. Our scientists have many ideas and projects that end up with inventions. That is why they must be submitted to INTARG - one of the most prestigious events in the world. There are representatives from many countries here. It is a great place to show your inventions, boast about them, but also get inspiration - said the Rector Prof. Marek Pawełczyk. - Our University made a great mark of its presence at this event - in addition to inventions, students from science clubs, who also showed the potential of the University presented themselves.
