Silesian University of Technology with awards in the Silesian Innovator competition
The 17th edition of the Silesian Innovator competition is behind us. On November 14, during the Awards Gala held at the Municipal Theatre in Gliwice, we met all the winners in this year’s edition of the Competition. The Silesian University of Technology was among the winners. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University Prof. Marek Pawełczyk.
The idea of the competition is to promote and reward the most innovative entities from the Silesian Voivodeship. The aim is to distinguish those companies and research and development institutions that undertake innovative changes by introducing the most modern technologies, new products, or services, and thus achieve business or scientific success.
The Silesian University of Technology, the Institute of Physics and the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering were awarded for the project - “Piezoelectric sensors based on nanocomposites of antimony iodosulphate for simultaneous energy acquisition and traffic monitoring.”
Awards were granted in the category of Research and Development Institution and the Special Award of the City of Gliwice.
This year’s edition of the Competition covered 26 innovative solutions developed and implemented by companies and research and development institutions.
