Silesian University of Technology signed a letter of intent with the Silesian Development Fund
Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Anna Chrobok, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education of the Silesian University of Technology, and Joanna Schmid, the President of the Silesian Development Fund sp. z o.o, signed a letter of intent on cooperation on the 5th of December.
The Silesian Development Fund is a specialized regional financial institution, the aim of which is to build in Silesia a durable long-term system of financing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and local government units in the region.
This cooperation is a real investment in the future of Silesia – based on technology, talent, and innovation. In practice, it means easier access of entrepreneurs to knowledge, laboratories and technological competences, acceleration of innovation and implementations, support of companies in scaling solutions and technological transformation and development impulse for the entire province.
- Today, Silesia needs cooperation that crosses traditional boundaries between university and business. Thanks to the partnership with the Silesian Development Fund, our students, scientists, and entrepreneurs gain access to complementary financial tools that allow them to transfer ideas from laboratories to the economy. Students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology can take advantage of three offers of the Silesian Development Fund. This is the “Investment Fund for Young Talents” and two projects: “The Silesian Enterprise Development Network” and “The Silesian Innovation Network.”
