High position of the Silesian University of Technology in the latest edition of the Shanghai GRAS 2024 ranking of academic subjects
Silesian University of Technology has been ranked in the latest edition of ShanghaiRanking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS 2024), achieving high positions in two key disciplines:
- Automation & Control - as the only university ranked in this discipline in Poland: ranked between 151-200,
- Earth Sciences: ranked between 301-400.
The prestigious GRAS 2024 ranking was compiled and published by the independent organisation ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, which is also responsible for the Shanghai Ranking. The ranking assesses the performance of universities worldwide in 55 disciplines in the natural sciences, engineering, medicine and social sciences. In this year's edition, the Silesian University of Technology was one of the 27 Polish universities included in the ranking, which is a significant achievement and underlines its growing position on the international stage.
The data for the ranking is obtained from objective external sources, including the Clarivate Analytics publication and citation databases, as well as a list of winners of international scientific awards and researchers included in the Highly Cited Researchers classification.
