Silesian University of Technology promotes road safety and health
The week at the Silesian University of Technology began with a family picnic promoting safe behaviour on the road. Stands promoting safety appeared on the campus of the Silesian University of Technology, and local residents of different ages took part in events and workshops.
On Monday, March 25th, a traffic town was established at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology. Despite the capricious aura, the residents looked under the tents of the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Gliwice, the Provincial Inspectorate of Road Transport, and the Emergency Notification Centre in Katowice, as well as the Provincial Road Traffic Centre.
Visitors received a solid portion of knowledge about safe behaviour on the road, but also took part in first aid training. Regardless of age, this exercise will be useful to everyone. That is why the Silesian University of Technology joined the action, making campus space available. The action took place under the patronage of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship Jakub Chełstowski and prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Rector of the Silesian University of Technology.

These are not the only activities supporting the inhabitants of the regions that took place yesterday at the Silesian University of Technology. In” Mrowisko” Student Culture Centre, there were activities intended for seniors who were also encouraged to participate in preventive tests. On this occasion, there was also a “Concert for Senior,” during which Czesław Majewski & Janusz Tylman performed, as well as the vocalist Karo Glazer.
