Silesian University of Technology on the 26th Science Picnic of the Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre
The 26th edition of the Science Picnic organized by Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre is ahead of us. The event will take place on Saturday, May 27th, at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw. The Picnic will not lack technical accents - in the Future Zone you will be able to take part in activities prepared by scientists of the Silesian University of Technology.
This year's Science Picnic is held under the slogan "Scientific Revolutions", referring to the 550th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, as well as highlighting breakthrough moments in the development of science. The organizers have prepared 7 zones: Future, Organizers, Civilization, Family, Cult Experiments, "Do It Yourself", Health.
In one of them - the Zone of the Future - you will be able to take part in experiments and shows prepared by representatives of the Silesian University of Technology:
- Materials and their secrets
- From Asimov to Turing - about robots and artificial intelligence
- From scan to print - additive technologies
- Electromobility on racing tracks, or what the SUT students race on the example of a Formula Student class vehicle
- The phenomenon of low temperatures
- Tesla - the genius of the modern world
- Superconductivity as a technology of the future and a revolution in the field of electricity
- A dance step around the cycloid
- Get to know your perception skills
- Construction of the solar system
- Programming with Photon
Visitors to PGE Narodowy will also have the opportunity to "talk" to Robot Copernicus, the most advanced humanoid robot in the world, and will be able to listen to short presentations and discussions on a specially prepared stage.
