Silesian University of Technology is a partner of the video game convention

On April 13th, a video game convention will be held at Global Office Park in the centre of Katowice. The event is free of charge and intended only for adults. The partner of the convention is Silesian University of Technology, and the honorary patronage over the event was taken by the Mayor of Katowice Marcin Krupa.

The KeywordsCon Games Convention will start at 10:00 with the unveiling of the Bebok gaming figurine by the city authorities. After this event, the participants of the convention are to expect nine hours full of activity.

The program includes:

- lectures on a career in gamedev, management of the gaming community, the role of artificial intelligence in the production of video games or games from years ago.

- discussion panels on the role of women in the world of video games and the beginnings of careers in the industry.

- soft skills workshops.

- trial training sessions.

- Inspiring meetings with 3D artists

All presentations will be conducted in English. The participants are to expect not only new knowledge and educational workshops, but also retro games zones, board games, gaming tournaments or slot machines. There will be plenty of opportunities to talk to recruiters about the possibilities of cooperation in the gaming industry. There will also be stands where one can buy gaming gadgets.
