Silesian University of Technology has been selected as a partner of the National Centre for Research and Development to jointly implement the project entitled: "Universities of the future" under Measure 5.1 Social Innovation, Axis V Social Innovation under the European Funds for Social Development (FERS).

On 13th May, the Silesian University of Technology signed an agreement with the National Centre for Research and Development and eleven universities for the preparation and implementation of the project "Universities of the future".

The National Centre for Research and Development together with twelve partners, including the Silesian University of Technology, will implement an innovative model of education based on original projects of students.

"Universities of the future" is a project that tests new methods of cooperation between the university and the socio-economic environment.

Objectives of the project:
- Development of key competences of students,
- Expanding the educational offer,
- Strengthening the competence of academic staff,
Creating a new model of cooperation.

The project will be implemented in the years 2024-2028 with the support of the European Funds for Social Development program, and the developed model will be tested by 360 students.
