Silesian University of Technology is a partner in the prestigious project deep INVENTHEI financed by the European Union as part of the HEI Initiative program.

The list of 16 winners was announced on 23 May 2023 at https://eit-hei.eu/press-release-eit-boosts-deep-tech-training-in-higher-education/.

The DEEPINVENTHEI project will be implemented by a consortium of 18 members, such as universities, research centres, companies and associations. The leader is the University of Porto (Portugal), and the partners are   the University of Pardubice (Czech Republic ), Valahia University of Targoviste (Romania ), University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain ), the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom ), TTK University of applied Sciences (Estonia ), School of Engineering at Jönköping University (Sweden), INOVA+-Innovation Services, SA (Portugal), Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto (Portugal), Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University (Ukraine). The associated partners include, in addition to the above mentioned,  the Institute for Digitalisation of Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the University of Sao Paulo, the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) , FCJ Europe (Portugal), Capital Enterprise and Concept X Limited (United Kingdom).

The aim of the project is to create an international network of regional innovation valleys that will contribute to attracting and retaining high-tech talent in Europe through training and supporting academic spin-offs and start-ups.
