Silesian University of Technology in the prestigious European Hydrogen Academy
The Silesian University of Technology has joined the prestigious European Hydrogen Academy (HyAcademy.EU), a pan-European initiative for the development of human resources for the hydrogen economy.
The EU-funded HyAcademy.EU project builds a network of more than 100 universities offering specializations and courses related to hydrogen technologies and more than 500 schools across Europe, supporting them with free teaching materials, textbooks, an educational portal and a network of training laboratories hyacademy.EU
The decision to include the Silesian University of Technology in the HyAcademy.EU network is a natural continuation of the University’s activities in the field of hydrogen education and is a direct synergy with the Hy-EDU project (“Integrating sustainable large-scale Hydrogen Transport & Storage into engineering programs”), coordinated by the Silesian University of Technology. The Hy-EDU project manager is Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Lutyński, responsible for the development of new education programs and engineering competences in the field of large-scale hydrogen transport and storage.
The certificate of incorporation of the Silesian University of Technology into the HyAcademy.EU network confirms the growing role of the University in the European ecosystem of hydrogen education. Membership in the network will enable, among others, the exchange of good practices in hydrogen teaching, access to free teaching materials, participation in train-the-trainer training and the development of joint initiatives with partners from all over Europe – from the level of secondary schools to master’s and doctoral studies. Thanks to this, the Silesian University of Technology will strengthen its position as an important centre of training specialists for energy transformation and the hydrogen economy.
