Silesian University of Technology in the era of green and digital economy

The Silesian University of Technology is implementing the project “Silesian University of Technology in the era of green and digital economy – students, graduates and pupils on the educational and professional path,” which aims to increase the attractiveness of education and better match the competences of participants to the requirements of the modern labour market.

The project is addressed to students, graduates and secondary school pupils, and its implementation is carried out in cooperation with employers, which allows participants to gain practical experience and develop skills valued by the labour market.

The project includes:

· individual career guidance,

· consultation with an entrepreneurship advisor,

· coaching and career mentoring,

· study visits to employers,

· training to develop entrepreneurial attitudes,

· high-quality professional internships,

· practical classes and advice for secondary school pupils.

The original plan of the project was to carry out 300 internships, which were completed in just three months. Due to the great interest, Silesian University of Technology applied for an increase in funding for the implementation of another 350 internships, which was positively considered.

The project is an important step toward modern and practical education, responding to the challenges of the green and digital transformation of the economy.
