Silesian University of Technology at the Trade Fair Control & Drives Poland and Maintenance Poland
From 21st to 24th January 2025, the Control & Drives Poland 2025 and Maintenance Poland 2025 Fair took place at the PTAK WARSAW EXPO Exhibition Centre in Nadarzyn. The substantive partner of the events was the Industry 4.0 Centre of the Silesian University of Technology, which organized conferences dedicated to the subject of the fair.
The conference on 21 January focused on trends in drives and controls, while the next conference focused on maintenance issues. The aim of both conferences was to introduce participants to key issues and development trends relevant for a given industry. Traditionally, the speakers at conferences organized by the Centre are representatives of the world of science, the research sector, and leading industrial companies.
In the program of the conference on the subject of Control & Drives, the dominant issues were contemporary trends related to this area, among others, energy efficiency, optimization of component selection, resistance to interference, as well as positioning of drive technology in the digital transformation of the industry. Participants of the conference had the opportunity to listen to presentations of both leading companies in this industry, i.e.: Nord, Lenze, SEW Eurodrives, Festo and representatives of the scientific and research sector: Silesian University of Technology and the Lukasiewicz-PIAP Research Network.
In turn, the program of the “Maintenance” conference included:
- an introductory lecture presenting the typical problems occurring in this area and innovative ways of solving them,
- presentations of “use cases” concerning the use of data potential in maintenance, on the example of CMMS systems and artificial intelligence,
- presentation of the current data regulations and their consequences for maintenance activities.
The speakers of this conference were representatives of the Silesian University of Technology and the Polish Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies and companies: Profesal, QRmaint and Balluff.
