Silesian University of Technology at the largest air show in Poland
Air shows by the best pilots from around the world, spectacular air acrobatics combined with pyrotechnic shows and tens of thousands of spectators - the Lotos Gdynia Aerobaltic Airshow took place at the airport in Kosakowo. Representatives of the Silesian University of Technology took part in the event.
The Lotos Aerobaltic Gdynia Airshow 2021 is one of the largest aviation events organised in Poland. The Silesian University of Technology once again participated in this event. Previously, our representatives were there in 2019.
At this year's show our University was represented by Eugeniusz Piechoczek - Training Manager of the Academic Aviation Training Centre - ATO, Mateusz Urzędowski – Instructor, and students - pilots of Air Navigation: Mateusz Labuda and Maciej Liszka.
During the event there was also an Aviation Fair, where the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology presented its educational offer, the AT3 plane, which was flown to Gdynia by: Eugeniusz Piechoczek - the Training Manager of the Academic Aviation Training Centre – ATO and Maciej Liszka, a student-pilot of Air Navigation.
The Silesian University of Technology at the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering educates pilots and aviation mechanics, and from the new academic year new field of Aerospace and Aviation Engineering begins. The university not only educates specialists sought-after on the market, but is also the only one in Silesia to be included in the prestigious group of 10 Polish universities, winners of the competition "Initiative of Excellence - Research University" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. As a result, the University conducts innovative research and development works, and educates highly qualified personnel.
