Silesian University of Technology at the 34th final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
As every year, the Silesian University of Technology supported the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. On the Gliwice market stood our stand, where students and scientists presented a simulator, a car, and all eager guests could learn the secrets of 3D printing In turn, in the finale of the event in Gliwice, the participants could bid lunch with the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology together with a ticket for two people for our Spring Concert and a polytechnical flight.
During this year’s finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, money is collected for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive tract of children. As every year, our University supported the event by sending an invitation to the auction for lunch with the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology together with a double ticket for the University Spring Concert and a polytechnical flight.
On the Gliwice market there was also our stand, where there was no shortage of attractions.
Students from SKN BioSoft presented original projects that realistically support diagnostics and treatment, among others, software supporting skull rehabilitation in children, interactive set presenting the effects of laparoscopy. The Glider Science Club was waiting for aviation fans, while PolSl Racing presented its car. The Student Science Club SKN RailTech invited people to use the railway simulator. Visitors could try driving the Impulse 36WEA train on simulator 8K and feel like a driver.
In addition, the Student Activity Centre of the Silesian University of Technology in Katowice prepared a stand “Secrets of mechatronics and 3D printing”, showing how modern technologies are created from idea to implementation.
There was also no shortage of art shows. The Academic Dance Ensemble of the Silesian University of Technology “Dąbrowiacy” prepared a concert and invited to dance together.
