For the thirteenth time in a row, the Silesian University of Technology is the winner of the general classification of the cycle of the Silesian Academic Championships. Our students won as many as 20 gold medals in the 2025/2026 season. They improved the result from last year and it gave our University a win in the medal classification!

Athletes in the colours of the Silesian University of Technology in the final classifications of individual disciplines stood on the podium in as many as 36 starts out of 46. They won 20 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.

 In the general classification – taking into account the score for all final results – our University was ahead of the Medical University of Silesia and the University of Silesia, scoring a total of 783 points (more than last year). It is worth noting that the Silesian University of Technology was the only one to field representatives in all 46 disciplines.

 In the twenty-first century, the Silesian University of Technology did not take the first place in the general classification of the Silesian Academic Championships only three times and is recognized as the most successful in the 50-year history of the Silesian Academic Championships.

Athletes in the colours of our University stood on the highest podium in disciplines such as: sports aerobics, sports bridge, dart, rowing ergometer for men and women, mountain biking, skiing for women and men, swimming for men, snowboarding for men and women, squash, chess, women's tennis, table tennis for men and women, unihockey, sports climbing for men and women and sailing.
