Silesian University of Technology advances four places in the Rzeczpospolita ranking

The SUT has made significant progress in the overall ranking published in the report "Polish Academic Institutions: Careers, Employment and Earnings 2026", prepared by the Work & Science Foundation and published by "Rzeczpospolita".

Particularly noteworthy are the results concerning graduates’ security in the labour market. During the first year after graduation, 5.06% of SUT graduates experienced a spell of unemployment, while their average risk of unemployment stood at 1.39%. The Relative Unemployment Rate was 0.36, indicating that the University’s graduates were in a significantly more favourable position than other jobseekers in their local labour markets. Among the public universities of technology ranked higher in the overall table, only the Warsaw University of Technology achieved better results for this group of indicators.

The rate at which graduates enter employment is also highly encouraging. On average, SUT graduates found their first job within 3.42 months of receiving their degree and secured employment under an employment contract within 4.03 months. Both results are better than those achieved by all public universities of technology placed higher in the overall ranking.

The ranking examines the employment and educational outcomes of graduates of Polish higher education institutions from the 2021–2023 graduating cohorts during the first year following graduation. It is based on administrative data from the Polish Social Insurance Institution and the POL-on system, used in the nationwide Graduate Tracking System. The overall ranking takes into account factors including graduates’ earnings, unemployment risk, the time taken to secure employment, business activity and the continuation of education.
