Students from SKN Silesian Greenpower achieved great results in the Formula F24+ competition. They took first and second place on the British circuits and also received a special award from Ford.
Let us remind you that Silesian Greenpower takes part in the F24+ electric car races organized by the Greenpower Education Trust. This is a category in which the driver can be up to 26 years old. All cars are powered by the same 24V DC, 240W engines. They also have the same 36Ah AGM batteries. The race lasts 60 minutes. The team that completes the most laps within that time wins. The team coordinator is Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Andrzej Baier.
The team has participated in three races. Its best performance was at Croft circuit, where it took the first and second place. It also received an award from Ford for innovations introduced in racing cars. Additionally, team driver Dariusz Krzywański received a special award for the track record (the shortest ride time).
Silesian Greenpower also performed well on the Goodwood track. The cars of the Silesian University of Technology team took third and fourth place.
In the overall classification, the cars are in fourth and fifth place out of 58 starters. The team plans to take part in the September races. Additionally, it will be working on changes to the cars in the areas of the front of the vehicle, fairings and engine management system.
