Silesian Greenpower won the award in the Siemens competition

Silesian Greenpower Science Club has been granted an additional award in the nationwide grant program “Tech Innovators” by Siemens. The team of the Silesian University of Technology, with Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Andrzej Baier, project coordinator, received Siemens products with a market value of up to PLN 6.5 thousand gross for the project “Digital twin of an electric car with a composite frame”

The gala took place at the headquarters of Siemens in Warsaw. The awards were presented by the President of the Management Board Maciej Zieliński. Grants of a total amount of PLN 53 thousand were received by six student science clubs from Polish technical universities.

“Tech Innovators” is a nationwide grant program for student teams implementing innovative engineering projects – from machine construction, through complex technical systems, to autonomous vehicles or digital solutions. It is a chance to obtain a financial, product or mentoring grant, as well as an opportunity to enter into a dialog with industry experts, learn about modern tools and present one’s own achievements to a wide audience. The program was created to support the most interesting ideas, promote the development of engineers of tomorrow and create a real space for the exchange of knowledge between the academic world and industry. Its aim is to build lasting bridges between education and practice, open the way to implementations and inspire further technological development in the spirit of innovation.
