Silesian Biotechnology Days “Bakcyl” 2022 starts on Thursday
Popular science lectures, laboratory classes, plus a picnic and a volleyball match, are all part of the Silesian Biotechnology Days “Bakcyl” 2022 programme. The two-day event will begin on Thursday and is organised by the Biotechnology Student Scientific Association.
The event will begin on Thursday, June 2, with a picnic on the Igrowa Meadow. Later, there will be time for the Leaders vs Students volleyball match. Other events will include an inter-year reunion and a party in the student’s club “Spirala”.
On Friday, from the morning in Hall B at the Education and Congresses Centre, popular science lectures will be held for secondary school students. They will be conducted by: Professor Danuta Gillner, Andrzej Świerniak, PhD, Anna Byczek-Wyrostek, MSc, and Professor Aleksandra Ziembińska-Buczyńska. The discussion will cover, among others, microorganisms, super microbes and bioprinting.
The last point is the laboratory classes in the Biotechnology Centre, conducted by Małgorzata Adamiec-Organiściok, MSc, and Filip Gamoń, MSc. Registration required.
