Silesiada starts today with the participation of students of the Silesian University of Technology. These are the Silesian Voivodeship's qualifying rounds for the National Final of the First-Year Student Games, which this year will take place in Lublin on December 1st -3rd.

Silesiada will last until November 12th. Only first-year students admitted to university for the first time can take part. Young athletes will compete in the following disciplines: women's and men's volleyball, women's and men's basketball, men's futsal, women's and men's swimming, women's and men's table tennis and women's and men's cross-country running.

Table tennis players will start the competition in Katowice today. Tomorrow, swimmers will compete in the AWF Katowice swimming pool. The remaining competitions will be held on Sunday, including in the sports hall of the Silesian University of Technology at Kaszubska 28 in Gliwice. There from 9:30 we will follow the women’s volleyball competition. After them - at 12:30 - men’s volleyball team players will take to the court. We invite everyone to support the competitors.
