On the 1st of July 2025 at the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation of the Silesian University of Technology, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education Prof. Anna Chrobok, in the presence of the Dean’s authorities of the Faculty, concluded patronage agreements with the 5th Secondary Comprehensive School in Dąbrowa Górnicza with the bilingual wards, named after Chancellor Jan Zamoyski and the Complex of Technical and IT Schools in Gliwice.
The patronage includes classes that will start learning from the school year 2025/2026, i.e. those of bilingual, mathematical with computer graphics and technology-computer science profile.
As part of the cooperation, an interdisciplinary program of educational classes is planned, implemented by employees of all departments of the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering, and Industrial Automation, including:
- industrial automation and robotics,
- renewable energy sources and energy transformation,
- artificial intelligence and data analysis,
- safety engineering and risk assessment,
- geoengineering and crisis management.
Classes will take place both at the Silesian University of Technology (study visits, laboratories, workshops) and in schools (specialist lectures).
