Session of the Council of the Civil Aviation Personnel Training Centre of Central and Eastern Europe
On January 24th , in Gliwice, a meeting of the Council of the Civil Aviation Personnel Training Centre of Central and Eastern Europe was held. The meeting, which was attended by the authorities of the Silesian University of Technology, was an opportunity to summarize the current activities of aviation centres operating within the University.
During the meeting of the Council, the scientific and didactic achievements of individual aviation centres operating at the Silesian University of Technology were discussed: Academic Aviation Training Centre (ATOPOLSL), Technical Service Mechanics Training Centre (OSMOT PART-147) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Centre (UAV PŚ).
Director of the Civil Aviation Personnel Training Centre of Central and Eastern Europe dr hab. Eng. Jarosław Kozuba, prof. SUT also presented the plan of operation and goals of the Centre for 2023.
The meeting was attended by the authorities of the Silesian University of Technology: Rector of the University prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Vice-Rector for General Affairs prof. Bogusław Łazarz and Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment prof. Janusz Kotowicz. Also present were prof. Mirosław Kowalski - Director of the Air Force Institute of Technology in Warsaw, Andrzej Hawryluk - President of the Management Board of Lublin Airport SA, Maciej Rodak - Vice President of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency and President of the Upper Silesian Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development sp. z o. o. Bogdan Traczyk. The meeting was chaired by the president of the Upper Silesian Aviation Society and the chairman of the Programme Council of the Silesian University of Technology - Artur Tomasik.
