Seeds for the Future 2025
Huawei once again opens the door to the world of modern technologies for students from all over Poland. Recruitment for the 12th edition of the “Seeds for the Future” brand program, a prestigious educational initiative, which this year will take place in China from September 15-19 has just begun. It is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience, develop the competences of the future and establish international contacts in the ICT industry. It is also a chance to strengthen the skills of working in a group, cooperate with outstanding experts and take part in the Tech4Good competition. The patronage over the programme was taken by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology - Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk.
“Seeds for the Future” is Huawei’s global education program, which has been supporting the development of young talents in the field of modern technologies since 2008. So far, more than 18 000 participants from 142 countries have participated in the initiative, in cooperation with more than 500 universities and educational organizations around the world. In Poland, the project has already had 11 editions, gaining recognition of academic and business circles.
During intensive workshops in China, participants will have the opportunity to work with Huawei experts on the most innovative topics, such as artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud computing, green energy, and digital transformation of the energy sector. Students in leading technology trends courses not only explore theory but also collaborate in international teams on real-world projects – from prototyping to presentations to potential investors.
Tech4Good: Technology for a better future
The heart of the program is the Tech4Good competition, which since 2021 has inspired young people to create technologies that truly change the world. Representatives from all over the world join forces to find an answer to one of the most important questions of the modern era: How can technology serve people and our planet?
Polish teams have been distinguished for years by their creativity and innovation in this area. In July 2024, ten students from Poland took part in the European edition of the program in Rome. Their projects – SIE-MA (an application supporting mental health) and Beelivers (a bee protection system) were among the best in Europe. A few months earlier, the Polish Carely team reached the global finals with a tool supporting communication between people with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.

How to apply?
Students from all Polish universities who are distinguished by their very good knowledge of English, high average grades and strong motivation to develop in the area of new technologies can apply to participate in “Seeds for the Future 2025” programme. In the recruitment process, what counts above all is the motivation of the candidate to participate in the program.
The application includes preparation of a CV with an up-to-date list of grades and a cover letter or a short video recording. The selection process is carried out in cooperation with universities and educational partners. Participation in the program is completely free, and recruitment will last until July 31.
