Secondary schools have summarized the cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
On the 05th of December 2025, a meeting of the Board of Directors of Secondary Schools at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was held. It was opened by Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Adamiak, Prof. SUT, the Dean of the Faculty.
As part of the meeting, secondary school pupils presented the results of their work carried out under the project “Research University Excellence Initiative” and presented at the conference “Politechnika Project.”
The projects were awarded by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk. The following projects were distinguished:
- O.S.K.A.R. - The Personal Analytical and Responsive Communication System of ZSTI (Technical and Information Technology School Complex) in Gliwice, (created by: Borys Rogowski, Jakub Frąsiak, Szymon Gilner, Supervisor: Dr Eng. Mariola Jureczko (SUT), Technical and Information Technology School Complex in Gliwice
- SCARA Robot, Complex of Technical Schools named after. Gwidon Langer in Cieszyn (created by Miłosz Grudziłowicz, Jakub Szewczyk, Tymon Jasiulek, Supervisor Dr Eng. Grzegorz Gembalczyk (SUT).
O.S.K.A.R. has also been awarded the Gliwice Laurel of Science, which is awarded for outstanding achievements in science and in the artistic fields.
Ambassadors of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering took part in workshops on PLC programming, which were conducted by Dr Eng. Jacek Harazin.
Among the ambassadors are:
· Dominik Waluga, Vocational Secondary Mechanical and Electrical Engineering School named after Nikola Tesla in Chorzów
· Filip Gąska, Centre for Vocational and Continuing Education Centre in Jaworzno
· Jakub Ryń, School of Inland Navigation in Kędzierzyn-Koźle
· Jakub Tumula, Vocational and Continuing Education Centre No. 2 “Mechanik” in Racibórz
· Marek Koziołek the Complex of Technical Schools in Bytom
· Paweł Miszyński, Complex of Automotive Schools in Gliwice
· Radosław Henkiel, Technical and General Education School Complex in Tarnowskie Góry.
The meeting was led by Dr Hab. Eng. Małgorzata Szymiczek, prof. SUT Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Organization Centre and Dr Hab. Eng. Agata Śliwa, Prof SUT - Dean's Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with Secondary Schools.
