Scientists of the Silesian University of Technology win the MINIATURE 6 competition
Scientists of the Silesian University of Technology are among the winners of the MINIATURE 6 competition. The organizer - the National Science Centre - qualified over 190 projects of scientists from all over Poland. Researchers will conduct preliminary and pilot studies, carry out internships or consultation and research trips with a total value of over PLN 7.7 million.
In the sixth edition of the MINIATURE competition, scientists could obtain funding in the amount of 5 thousand up to 50 thousand PLN. The winners include researchers from the Silesian University of Technology:
- Dr Eng. Edyta Krzystała - Experimental studies of fast-changing detonation phenomena and the impact of an explosion on people and the environment with the use of modern measurement techniques
- Dr Eng. Monika Kurpas - Dynamics of driver and passenger mutations in cancer - pilot experiment on cell lines and mathematical modelling
- Dr Eng. Sławomir Sładek - Experimental studies of the combustion kinetics and the intensity of cracking of iron particles at high heating speeds
- Dr Eng. Dominika Trefon-Radziejewska - Determination of the influence of surface morphology on the local thermal conductivity of thin layers of metal phthalocyanines with different valences
