Can science be as engaging as the best adventure book? On June the 20th in Gliwice, participants of the Festival of Children’s Literature PSTRYK! will see it in person. In the Science Zone, scientists from the Silesian University of Technology will present experiments and demonstrations of new technologies.
Children's Literature Festival PSTRYK! is an event organized by the Municipal Public Library in Gliwice, during which participants can take part in inspiring conversations, creative workshops, animations, and popular science activities. As the organizers say, PSTRYK! is a space in which literature goes beyond the pages of books and becomes an experience – lively, engaging, and full of emotions.
In the Festival Science Zone together with scientists from the Silesian University of Technology, one will be able to perform fascinating experiments and take part in demonstrations of new technologies:
- Members of the AI-METH Student Science Club together with the supervisor of the AI-METH Dr Eng. Małgorzata Muzalewska from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will present the Integral SENSO project, in the framework of which toys and therapeutic aids supporting people with disabilities were created.
- PhD students from the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering: M.Sc. Karolina Pawlusińska, M.Sc. Eng. Katarzyna Dudzisz, M.Sc. Eng. Piotr Cichy and M.Sc. Eng. Kinga Plasa will introduce participants to the world of chemistry and biotechnology by performing extraordinary experiments.
Children's Literature Festival PSTRYK! will take place on the 20th of June at 13:00-19:00 at Cechownia, 35A Bojkowska Street in Gliwice.
