Scientists of the Silesian University of Technology at the New Industry Forum
The New Industry Forum is ahead of us – an event in which scientists and experts of the Silesian University of Technology will take part. The event will be held on October 14th and 15th, 2025 in the International Congress Centre in Katowice.
The New Industry Forum will be an opportunity to exchange views on the challenges faced by industry and the economy in times of unstable geopolitical situation, combined with ongoing energy transformation processes.
Europe has made a strong effort to ensure that industries under pressure from regulation and high energy prices are not only stopped, but to raise strategically important sectors to a higher degree of international competitiveness. It is our own industrial production in an unstable environment, in a world of conflicts and increasing competition, and the future of sectors that have an impact on the defence potential or the security of countries will be the key topics of discussions and debates during the Forum. The event will be attended by representatives from the Silesian University of Technology.
On October the 15th, the debate entitled “Labour market for industry” will be attended by Prof. Anna Chrobok, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at the Silesian University of Technology. Prof. Jarosław Brodny, Deputy Director of the College of Studies of the Silesian University of Technology will participate in “Industry Talks.” The panel on production management will be attended by Anna Timofiejczuk from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. In the debate on cybersecurity, Dr Eng Jarosław Homa, Plenipotentiary of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology for Cybersecurity will speak, and Dr Eng. Adam Mańka, Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Organization of the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering Silesian University of Technology will take part in discussion on the industry for railways.
