Scientists of the Silesian University of Technology at the European Congress of Small and Medium Enterprises
From the 27th to 28th October 2025, the European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EKSME) will take place in Katowice. The event will be attended by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology.
The EKSME is the most important and largest event in Europe dedicated to companies from the SME sector, it is a space for meetings, exchange of experiences, innovation, and cooperation.
Since 2011, the Congress has brought together entrepreneurs, opinion leaders, representatives of the administration, the world of science and culture from all over the world. During the fourteen editions, EKSME hosted tens of thousands of participants, who discussed together the challenges and opportunities for the SME sector in the dynamically changing economic reality.
The event will be attended by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology.

Mobility and logistics in the cities of the future. The role of SMEs
The panel will be attended by the Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment at SUT, Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Staniek, Prof. SUT. The participants will discuss, among others, sustainable last mile logistics and the digitalisation and integration of systems as a prerequisite for the efficiency of mobile SME services.

The future of Education and Competence in the Age of AI
The panel will be attended by Dr Hab. Eng. Paweł Kasprowski, Prof. SUT from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science The speakers will discuss, among others, the integration of artificial intelligence as a tool supporting the teaching process, personalization of teaching through data analysis and adaptive AI systems, or the change of the role of the teacher to mentor and moderator of the learning process.

International Talks: Scale-up & Internationalization: How to go global?
The panel will be attended by Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Marek Pawełczyk. The participants will discuss, among others, models of internationalization for companies from Central and Eastern Europe, expansion into MENA, Asian and American markets, and the role of investment funds, accelerators, and export platforms.

Cybersecurity in the era of widespread digitalization
The panel will be led by Dr Eng. Adrian Kapczyński from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics. The discussion will concern the growing threat of cyber attacks due to the digitization of business processes, employee education in this area or investments in modern security systems.
