Scientists from the Silesian University of Technology were awarded by the Minister of Education and Science
The list of winners of the Awards of the Minister of Education and Science has been announced. Among the winners, there are also scientists from the Silesian University of Technology.
Scientists and researchers were awarded for their achievements in five categories: significant achievements in research, didactic, implementation, organisational and overall achievements. The names of the distinguished laureates were read out during the gala on the occasion of Polish Science Day.
The award for significant achievements in teaching went to Professor Mariusz Adam Stępień PhD, DSc from the Department of Power Electronics, Electric Drives and Robotics. In teaching category, the activity in the scope of education and upbringing of students as well as education of doctoral students and promotion of teaching staff was evaluated.
Awards for significant achievements in the field of implementation activities were awarded to the team of the Silesian University of Technology from the Division of Geochronology and Environmental Isotopes consisting of:
- Konrad Tudyka PhD, Eng.
- Grzegorz Poręba PhD, DSc
- Professor Grzegorz Adamiec PhD, DSc
- Agnieszka Szymak MSc
- Professor Piotr Moska PhD, DSc
In this category, the following were evaluated: the practical use of the scientific research results or development works, in particular, in industrial, scientific or commercial activities, commercialisation of the results of scientific activities and know-how related to these results, as well as the implementation of an original design, technological or artistic achievement.
