Scientists from the Silesian University of Technology are winners of the OPUS 24 competition
Scientists from the Silesian University of Technology are among the winners of the OPUS 24 competition. In the competition, the National Science Centre received 1,921 applications for a total amount of about PLN 2.7 billion. Funding was granted to 224 applications worth over PLN 364.4 million. The success rate was 11.66%. The winners include researchers from the Silesian University of Technology:
- dr hab. Eng. Rafał Babilas, prof. SUT (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) - Improvement of the properties of high-entropy alloys by designing the chemical composition, modelling the microstructure and manufacturing cellular structures using additive technologies.
- dr hab. Eng. Marian Kampik (Faculty of Electrical Engineering) - Research on the possibility of using metallic-organic waveguides in calorimetric rms converters.
- dr hab. Eng. Michal Kawulok, prof. SUT (Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science) - Superresolution reconstruction of digital images in an uncontrolled environment using self-supervised learning techniques.
