Scientific achievements of the Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology in Zabrze Dr Hab. Aleksandra Kuzior, Prof. SUT have been awarded the Golden Medal of Merit for Polish Science “Sapientia et Veritas,” awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. On the 15^th of April, during the “Ambassador of Polish Economy” event prepared in Warsaw by the Business Centre Club under the honorary patronage of the European Economic and Social Committee in Brussels, the medal was presented by the Deputy Minister, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education Prof. Marek Gzik.

The laureate has been the Dean of the Zabrze Faculty since September 2024. Previously, she was the Vice-Dean (8 years old) and Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Social Responsibility of the University. Prof. Aleksandra Kuzior is the author of almost 300 scientific publications, both monographs and articles in prestigious foreign journals. She has been awarded the title of doctor honoris causa of foreign universities three times.

In her scientific activities she deals with a wide range of topics related to sustainable development and quality of life, artificial intelligence, and Smart Sustainable City. For many years she has been integrating scientific, economic, non-governmental organizations and public administration in order to better cooperate for the development of the region. Last year she received a gold honorary badge “For Merits to the Silesian Voivodeship” and an award in the “Brand-Śląskie” competition in the Science category.
