Scientific awards of the Division IV Engineering Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2023

Dr hab. Eng. Stanisław Wrona, prof. SUT from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology received the scientific award of the Division IV Engineering Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2023. The distinction was awarded to six scientists. 

Scientific awards of the Division IV Engineering Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences are awarded for an outstanding, published creative scientific work (or series of works) in the field of technical sciences represented by the Division IV Engineering Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. It is awarded to researchers who did not have an academic title in the year the work was published and were under 40 years of age.

The 2023 award was awarded to six scientists. Among those honoured is dr hab. Eng. Stanisław Wrona, prof. SUT from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science of the Silesian University of Technology.

– The award was granted for a series of works entitled: "Modelling, optimization and control in noise reduction systems", which was also the basis for the previously obtained habilitated doctor's degree - said dr hab. Eng. Stanisław Wrona, prof. SUT – The Award of the Division IV Engineering Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences is a prestigious distinction, well-known in Poland. It is an expression of recognition for many years of involvement in scientific work and will allow for wider promotion of the achievements of the team from the Silesian University of Technology developing methods of active and semi-active noise reduction - added the scientist.
