Scholarship program for girls in STEM

The Perspektywy Educational Foundation, together with AlphaLab Capital, is launching a new scholarship and mentoring program. It is addressed to this year's high school graduates who are starting their studies in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics). 

The STEM AlphaLab is launched. Scholarship Program for Girls - Perspektywy This is another action taken to increase the participation of women in studies and science in the field of STEM, and further - in the new technologies sector. In order for the industry of new technologies to develop harmoniously and to propose solutions useful for all social groups, it is necessary, among others, to secure equal representation of representatives of both genders among employees of this sector of the economy. Meanwhile, women are still a minority in STEM professions - this is due to, among others, a smaller number of women in science and technology in first and second degree studies, as well as in doctoral studies and among female scientists.

For years, the Perspektywy Education Foundation has been trying to change this situation by undertaking various pro-female activities together with partners from universities (including the Girls at the University of Technology and the Girls to the Natural Sciences) and business (e.g., scholarship programs). The latest project in this trend is the joint AlphaLab and Perspektywy scholarship program, which starts in October 2022 and is addressed to high school graduates from 2022 from the academic year 2022/2023 studying in the STEM area. The program consists of two components:

  • An attractive two-year scholarship (PLN 30,000 for the period October 2022 - June 2024) and a free series of online training courses.
  • Additionally, 20 beneficiaries of the program will take part in the prestigious one free of charge Women in Tech Camp 2022 (an inspirational camp for the most talented female students) and Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2023 (Europe's largest conference for women in technology).
