Scholarship in Nuclear Energy

Silesian University of Technology is launching a special scholarship program financed from funds allocated to the development of personnel for nuclear energy. The scholarship will be available to all students who will start their second-cycle studies in the field of Nuclear Energy from the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026.

The end of 2025 brought a significant boost to the development of nuclear energy in Poland. It was the consent of the European Commission to grant public aid to finance the first nuclear power plant in Poland. However, in addition to investment financing and social acceptance, the training of highly qualified personnel is a key pillar of the development of the nuclear sector. In the era of the global renaissance of nuclear energy, the demand for engineers, specialists and experts in the field is growing faster than the possibilities of their education. Ambitious plans to build nuclear power plants in Poland, based on large-scale and SMR reactors, mean thousands of stable, well-paid jobs over the next decades.

Silesian University of Technology has been educating staff for the energy sector for years and actively participates in the development of nuclear energy through important research projects, cooperation with industry and modern didactic offer. The Nuclear Energy study program (second-cycle studies) is a response to the real needs of the labour market and is created in cooperation with industrial partners of the nuclear sector and foreign universities. In the summer semester, there is a limit of 30 places.

In order to additionally support students undertaking studies in this strategic area, Silesian University of Technology is launching a special scholarship program financed from funds allocated to the development of personnel for nuclear energy.

The scholarship is open to all students who start their second-cycle studies in the field of Nuclear Energy from the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026.
 

• the amount of the scholarship1000, - PLN a month
• payment period:First and second semester of study
• form:benefit paid monthly (9 months in total)
• Criterion: Status of a student in Nuclear Energy field (without additional income thresholds and rankings)

The condition for obtaining a scholarship in the second semester is passing the first semester.
