Saturday full of science stories! Results of eliminations for the 3MT® competition

The eliminations for the 8th Silesian edition of the three Minute Thesis® competition are behind us. A record number of participants took part in eliminations! More than 30 PhD students from 6 research centres talked about their research projects. 10 finalists, whose speeches will be presented during the finals on November 28th at the Silesian University of Technology Library, were selected.

Young scientists want to talk about science “in layman’s terms,” that is, in a clear, understandable way, easy for the audience to follow. This is evidenced by the number of people who applied for this year’s edition of the three Minute Thesis® competition in Silesia. The Saturday eliminations were attended by over 30 PhD students: from the Silesian University of Technology, the University of Silesia in Katowice, the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, the University of Economics in Katowice, the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa and the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
